In memory of Robyn Higgins
We fund research and support families to access clinical trials for children.

Story

Our little girl Robyn was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer, in May 2009. After struggling with this disease for four and a half years, she finally left our world nine months ago. Her loss is physically painful for much of the time and our lives as we knew them are over, replaced by the need to inhale and exhale and to place one foot in front of the other.

For many who lose a child, there may be a strong desire to help stop another family experiencing that same unimaginable pain. Before, when we asked you to help us fundraise, it was to enable Robyn to access options that could possibly help keep her cancer stable that simply were not available here in the UK. Now we ask you to help us to fundraise in memory of Robyn to bring clinical trials here to the UK so that there will be less need for the most vulnerable of our children with difficult to treat Neuroblastoma having to travel long distances, regularly for therapies.

I am taking part in the British London 10K run on Sunday July 13 TH to try to raise money for this very reason. A few of my friends have dodgy knees, ankles or ham strings and so they will be aggressively power walking as oppose to ‘sprinting’ like me. I am now thinking I may have to remain with this group (yawn) as it would be rude not to….

But please, I want you all to dig really deep and REMEMBER ROBYN! Love from Lisa xxxxx
