Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In March 2014, our dear friends Huw and Dee, and their daughter Seren, lost their beautiful daughter and loved sister, Sian.
Sian had been born with several holes in her heart, however the prognosis further to surgery, was for a continuation of her happy and healthy life. Sian ran into post surgery difficulty whilst in intensive care and tragically passed away. Sian was just 21 months old.
Having been given the news every parent dreads, Huw and Dee did not receive the care and support they so desperately needed whilst in hospital. Huw and Dee never want anyone receiving that news to suffer the same experience, so as one of Sian's many legacies, they have created Sian's Rainbow Appeal to put in place a support and care provision at the Royal Brompton Hospital for families receiving life changing news.
To support Sian's Rainbow Appeal, my good friend Victoria and I will be running the BUPA London 10,000 on the 25th May.
Sian is one of the most beautiful children I have ever met. A demon jigsaw puzzler, a ball of energy who loved to play and she loved to dance. It was an honour to have known her.
Sian also gave the ultimate gift through organ donation. The gift of life to a 1 year old baby boy and an adult in her twenties.
So please help us raise some money in Sian's memory towards this very worthy cause.
