I've taken part in the Manchester 10K since 2009, never breaking any running records but each time raising money for a different charity.

It's a great event to take part in with the added bonus of helping a local charity. This year I've chosen Springhill Hospice in Rochdale which gives specialist palliative care to patients and their families from diagnosis to end of life.

An amazing 70% of their running costs come from fundraising through the local community so I'm hoping that you'll dig deep and make a donation to help keep this fantastic local facility going.
