My beautiful friend Emily passed away in December 2014 from Cystic Fybrosis. 

I had known Emily since we went to middle school together and her bubbly, infectious personality was what drew me, and many others, to her.

She was an amazing person who raised a huge amount of awareness for CF and organ donation - including creating the charity with her friend Emma, Live Life Then Give Life. 

She was also an incredible singer and musician - I'll never forget her love of music and how she immersed herself in it.  We always had fantastic conversations about our favourite musicals, which would almost always include singing extracts of Les Mis, Wicked and many others!

Emily was a fantastic friend who would always take an interest in your life, even if she was very poorly at the time.  She loved a good natter and all things pink and sparkly!

By doing this run and raising money for the CF Trust, is just a small gesture to the memory of Em.  I will also be giving blood and continue to raise awareness for organ donation.

You can never sum up what a person's life means to you in a few words, but the following ones come close:

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal".
