Cancer Research Wales is a charity very close to my heart. I started fundraising in the summer of 2013 after my little rural village bared the brunt of this cruel and heartless disease time and time again.
I have always enjoyed running and completed the Dublin marathon in October 2013. I was completely overwhelmed by people's generosity and amazed to raise over £5,000.
The devastating news of my business partner and dear friend being diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer spurred me on to run the Chester half marathon and I ran the Dublin marathon again in his memory in October 2014.
My fundraising total is now over £10,000 and I intend to carry on raising awareness and funds as we must all fight this cruel disease.
My latest adventure is my most extreme challenge to date. I am excited and somewhat apprehensive to say that i will be attempting the gruelling dragon duathlon in June of this year. A unique event travelling non stop on bike and foot 290km from Anglesey to Cardiff bay. Please get behind me and support me to complete this amazing event!! Your sponsors will be greatly received!
On a lighter note, if I survive the dragon duathlon I will be starring in a pantomime in October. All proceeds will be going to cancer research Wales. I will post ticket details later nearer the time as I know you won't want to miss the opportunity to see me prancing about on stage as I fluff my lines!!
