Story

The challenge

I don't know whether it is a mid life crisis having just turned 40 or whether my brain cells have just had a bit too much white wine but I have decided to run 2015km in 2015.

Just so you don't all have to do the maths, that is:

5.52 k a day...every day for 1 year; or

38.64k a week... nearly the equivalent of a marathon a week!...Every week!

All a  little bit crazy for someone who has only ever ran one 10k in their life.

The reason

I am doing it this to raise money for Smile with Siddy.

Smile with Siddy is a charity set up by my friend Flora in memory of her son Siddy Cahill who sadly died of Neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood cancer, in 2013. Smile with Siddy aims to raise money to increase awareness and fund research and treatment of neuroblastoma.

It is an amazing cause set up by some amazing people, so please, please give generously. More information can be found on their website http://www.smilewithsiddy.co.uk or their facebook page.

The admin bits

I am keeping a record of all my runs and will set up some sort of page (once I get someone to show me how!) to allow people to track my progress.

However, it is enough to say that I have ran over 160k in January alone so am heading in the right direction.
