Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Six years ago I lost my amazing Sister, Lisa Lynch, to Breast Cancer. Lisa was only 28 when first diagnosed and only 33 at the time of passing away. But that’s not even half of her inspirational story!

This year, on August 30th, Lisa should have been turning 40! To mark this occasion, I’m looking to raise money in her memory by embarking on a personal challenge to (virtually) cycle across the USA, from east coast to west coast by the end of 2019!

In this quest, I’ll be cycling about 3225 miles on my exercise bike, starting out at Boston Logan International Airport and ending at Point Loma in San Diego.

The charity I’m doing this for is Breast Cancer Care. This charity provided Lisa and many other people in similar circumstances with great support throughout her illness, so much so that to mark her 30th Birthday, Lisa hosted a charity Birthday party to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. Therefore, in such a year as this, it just felt right that I chose this charity for my challenge.

I’m not coming at this from any significant level of fitness or cycling experience, so for me this is going to be a real challenge. Any support you can provide will be massively appreciated and will really power me on to keep going and finish my challenge by the end of 2019.

Big love,

James x
