Story
My name is Mali. I am 4 (nearly 5!) and had a liver transplant when I was 6 months old. I am going to my 1st British Transplant Games this summer held in Newport and I am really excited. I like crafts, drama, singing, and lots of sports like swimming and gymnastics. My Nanna is coming over from America to watch me at the games and I will be competing in the obstacle race, ball throw, bean bag archery and 25m dash. As well as this my whole family will be carry out a family donor run of 3k on the 4th and final day of the games.
The games are a chance for me to meet other people who have had life saving transplants like me. There are estimated to be over 1000 people competing in the games. The games could not take place without the support of donations and the support of "Transplant Sport"
I am fundraising on behalf of the King's Children's Transplant Team. King's Children's Transplant Team and Transplant Sport actively promote organ donation by encouraging recipients of life saving transplants to get active and promote organ donation. All funds donated will be used by the team. Transplant Sport will receive the benefit of the gift aid.
