Well after completing my first parkrun this weekend I’ve now signed up to run 3K dressed is a Santa suit along Blackpool promenade. This time Julie, Caleb and Asti will come along and walk the route too. The Santa Dash raises money for Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children’s Hospice. Trinity were invaluable to us when Sue was ill and facilitated us fulfilling her wishes to die at home. Without the support of the palliative care consultant from Trinity, it wouldn’t have been possible. Subsequently Arron and I have both had bereavement counselling there which again has been invaluable. I’ve never had to use Brian House (and hope I never do) but I know from others that they provide an equally amazing service for children and young people facing terminal illnesses in the area. Can’t think of a better cause or a more fun way to raise money.
