Story

  • Following my 50th birthday last year, I wanted to tick another challenge off my bucket list - walking along Hadrian's Wall was ambition I've had for some years.  Along with my wonderful and supportive pals (Mel & Cindy) and our loyal canine companions, we completed in July 2016. well done to us all and our devoted dogs,Maori,Tarcara,Maddie, not forgetting Dear Barney(who would of walked with us but sadly died of cancer Just before the walk,Mels dog).

2017 see's we looking for ANOTHER Challenge YEP ITCHY FEET,so i have asked Andy who will be 70 in Aug,Caroline and Margaret if they would like to walk OFFA'S DYKE. THEY agreed a CHALLENGE, however will be taken in two parts as 177miles plus.Tragically I have lost FOUR of my dear dogs to cancer and so raising funds for the Cancer Therapy Unit at the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital in Cambridge (through their charity) will help to provide the equipment and facilities desperately needed to help diagnose, treat and cure this horrific disease.

I AM also collecting SEPARATE from this JUST GIVING for a memory bench for Nightingale woods for two Devoted Labs i lost in Nov 2016 to cancer and her daughter in Feb to sudden heart attact. if you want to donate to the bench it WONT be via Just Giving has to be direct to me.

feel broken hearted at losing two soooo soon but i KNOW my STARS are watching down.

I know that all of my pet owners will understand how much this means to me and I thank you all for your continued wonderful love and support with everything we are trying to achieve. Thank you so much, Mandy x
