Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I kept a low profile last year at Cycle Arran 2011 (that's me second from the left in the picture) because being a fairly unfit and ill-equipped (mountain bike) cyclist at the time I wasn't even sure I would be able to finish the 56 mile route. But I did it, and having no sponsors I made my own donation to last year's charity.

So this year, I'm fitter, better equipped (road bike), and I'm safe in the knowledge that I can complete the course, so I'll be doing the cycling and you lot will be doing the sponsoring!

This year's charity is Friends of the Beatson, the charity that provides comfort and support to patients at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, in parallel with the clinical care they receive at the centre.
