I'm training for half-marathon and finding it damn hard. It impacts not only on myself, but my family, friends and colleagues too.

Since my last fundraising, cancer has claimed Michael Cook, our beloved neighbour. He passed away in August 2011.

An acquaintance of mine works in Cambridge on analysing cancer cells and finding ways to identify it as early as possible - which means it can be successfully treated and cured. Her work is partly sponsored by Cancer Research UK.
