Story

The World Land Trust protects wildlife all over the world by buying and leasing land for nature reserves, for example linking different habitats to provide an elephant or tiger corridor and, vitally, it funds local rangers to protect these reserves.
To quote our national conservation hero, Sir David Attenborough: "the money that is given to the WLT has more effect in preserving the wild world than almost anything else I can think of".

The World Land Trust may not be the best known conservation charity perhaps because it has such low overheads and donations go directly to the projects rather than advertising. Please help spread the word.

Thank you for your support! And wish me luck dodging lions, leopards and elephants on my run!

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send 100% of your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.)

The back story;

My family and I fell in love with South Africa almost ten years ago when we were lucky enough to visit the reserves and meet the rangers who protect the African bush habitat. My daughter Nina went to South Africa to qualify and work as a ranger/guide for a while, and one of her best friends, Liam, has been a ranger for several years.
Nina now writes regular articles for the WLT, about what land they have saved, what the rangers are up to and what wildlife has been seen.
