Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2006 my father in law Billy fell gravely ill and died soon after from the effects of mesothelioma. He was only 64. There we no clues as to his condition and we were all looking forward to a long retirement that was brought forward due to other health issues. This disease should be avoidable. However when it does strike there should be a better way of linking symptoms with its development, dealing with its occurrence or even finding a cure. The direct and indirect effects on the family tell me that we should do more to support them.
About 27 years ago Billy and I ran the half marathon Cumbrian Run raising about £2000 for the children's ward at the West Cumberland hospital who had looked after my premature son so well.
I can still run.... Please support my venture
