Story
One of my best buddies, Steve ‘Sid’ Nattrass, died suddenly, aged 48 on 3rd Feb 2013 whilst on a business trip to the states. He was one of my closest mates and it came as a massive shock to all his friends and family. It’s taken a long time to get my head round what happened that day and it’s something I’ll never forget.
At his wake we decided that we had to do something in his memory. A few beers had been drunk. Initially it was a half marathon, but we came to our senses and settled on a 10k run.
The 10k run we have selected is the Lichfield 10k on 8th September 2013. There are a few of us doing the run. Apart from a few games of squash and walking round a pool table each week I haven’t done much sport since I left school.
I have two aims. To run the whole 10k (no walking!), and complete it in less than an hour!
