Dr Ian Noble graduated in Medicine from the University of Sheffield in 2009, and died tragically in a road accident in October 2010. By this time his contributions to medicine had already been considerable, and in celebration of his life his family and partner have established the Dr Ian Noble Memorial Fund. This fund will provide support for medical students at the University of Sheffield who are unable to find the funding to undertake an intercalated degree in the University. Ian had undertaken such a degree, and recognised the great impact that it had made on his own education and subsequent career.
