Andrea's story and that of her incredibly brave family is one of great sadness. Having lost her courageous fight with acute myeloid leukemia on 25th June 2015 at the young age of 43, it inspired commitment in so many to help support Andrea and Henry's wish to prevent the same experience being repeated for other families.

In July I will be running the SwissAlpine Davos K78 Ultra Marathon (www.swissalpine.ch/en/races/swissapline-marathon/k78/), which, as the name suggests is a 78 km course across the Graubunden Alps, with a total vertical ascent of 2.7km. I hope that it will help raise valuable funds in memory of Andrea and support her family's determination to fund further research undertaken by UCL Cancer Institute Research Trust.
