Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Memory page.
On December 7, 2016 I said goodbye to the love of my life who was taken from us too soon following his Cancer diagnosis in June 2015.
Matt bravely fought this indiscriminate disease , and remained as independent for as long as possible until both he & I could no longer manage on our own, and he went to Myton Hospice Warwick for end of life care. Words cannot express our families gratitude for the unrelenting care, love and assistance that both Matt and I received. He was treated with the upmost dignity and it was soon apparent that he was at peace in his new environment for the final weeks of his life.
The support we both received was not just medical, not just nursing which was all done with compassion and professionalism but came in different forms of emotional support during the darkest and saddest time of our lives. Offers of Tea , Hot Chocolate, Horlicks, hugs and cuddles, someone to talk to, blankets to snuggle under to be close to Matt, informed guidance and support - I could go on.
All of the team conduct themselves with such compassion in a very challenging environment; and providing all of this free of charge means that they need to raise over £8million a year to offer their services; and in memory of my # 1 and the way he selflessly carried us all through his illness this memory page will be maintained in his honour and in support of a great team that helped you and so many of us through your weakest moments.
