We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a couple of rookie marathon runners who decided to take on this challenge. We work as part of an amazing team at Salford Royal NHS FT.

We are running in memory of Maxine's mum  (Brenda) and in support of Pete's father in law (Alf). Both of these beautiful people have been afflicted by the terrible effects of Alzheimer's disease.

We are trying to raise £5000 in order to support research into the disease. Let's face it as we all live longer we are all at greater risk of developing some form of dementia so the more we do to better understand it the better the chances of either dodging it completely or at least our symptoms will be lessened and we will have a better  quality of life. So go on you know it makes sense. Please donate and help us to make a difference.

We will be blogging on our 'run up' to the marathon to keep folks informed of any particular progress we may make. For those of you who know us well that will be something of a unbelievable achievement!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
