We are raising much needed funds to help fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

At 07:15 on 18th June, Kerry Hennessy along with her brothers Tom, Rory and Liam, cousin Siobhan and colleagues John Dempsey and Dave Tobin, will set off on a challenge of their lives - the formidable Yorkshire 3 Peaks 25 mile hike. It will involve a marathon whilst climbing three of Yorkshire's highest mountains at the same time...all in less than 12 hours!

The team will go by the name of “CHARLIE’S ANGELS” as six year old Charlie - the son of Tom and the nephew of Kerry, Rory and Liam - was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) last year. So they’re tackling this mammoth challenge together all in a bid to help raise funds for Joining Jack - the charity that is fighting to find a cure for DMD. Whilst DMD is one of the most common fatal conditions in the world, recent scientific breakthroughs mean that the development of a treatment is closer than ever.

Together we can achieve great things and we hope to raise as much money as we possibly can through the undertaking of this huge challenge.

Thank you for your support.

Joining Jack is McGee's Charity of the Year 2016.
