We got Lucy from Newcastle Dog and Cat shelter in August 2000. She was the sweetest soul that ever lived. She passed away on 22nd February 2017, two months before her 17th birthday.

My mum and I are running the Regents' Park 5/10k on July 8th in Lucy's memory.

Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter was established in 1896 and helps thousands of lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned animals every year across the North East. Their objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals. 
 
They reunite lost animals with their owners and find loving new homes for those no longer wanted.
