After being misdiagnosed for over a year, my mom was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer. She stormed her way through treatment and made us all so proud of the way she dealt with it, and with the dignity and grace in which she conducted herself. 

Being just 55, my mom shouldn’t have been taken from us. She will never see me graduate or get married along with all the small moments in life when a daughter just needs her mom. She has left such a gap in all of our lives as she was such a character! Idolised in her job, mom improved everyone’s life she had contact with. Her family and friends will always remember her witty comment and wise words.
