I decided to run the Cardiff Half marathon this year six weeks before the date of the Marathon. This may seem crazy as it does to me, Ive gone from running no more than three miles maybe twice a week, to training for a half Marathon in just under six weeks.

I have decided to do this to raise as much money as I can for a charity that has touched many of my family and friends. My nan was effected by cancer and she recieved care from Velindre, and recently a good friend of mines sister lost her life to this horrible desease, she also recivevd care from Velindre.

One in three people will be touched by some form of this desease, and the people of Merthyr Tydfil and South Wales will need the facilities that Velindre Cancer Centre provides.
