Story

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The time has (almost) arrived for me to run (most probably jog with hints of a powerwalk) the 13.1 mile circuit around the streets of Tyneside. Even though I can still recall both the challenge and the pain experienced from the Great North Run 2010, I was also kindly reminded (thanks Mam and Becky) that I would do it again in an instant. So here I am!

The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) is a charity particularly close to my heart. My wonderful Nanna sadly lost her battle with this degenerative and incurable condition in 2009 but continued to demonstrate incredible strength of spirit, dignity and, most importantly, outstanding courage in the face of adversity.

If my Nanna can fight until the very end without any hint of complaining, then I am positive that I can push myself to the finishing line!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep, contribute whatever you are able and make a real difference!

On behalf of myself, my family and all MND sufferers who will benefit from your donations- thankyou for your support.
