From Friday 1st July - Monday 4th July , we (Mick, Keith & Dominic) will be taking on the 5 highest peaks in the British Isles in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and in memory of Allen McAuley.

We will be leaving home, Derby, on Friday 1st July at 5pm, heading north to Scafell Pike (3209ft) in England where we start our first climb. From there, we will head further north to Scotland and climb Ben Nevis (4406ft). On early Sunday morning, we will start climbing Allen's favourite Slieve Donard (2786ft) before heading south to the Macgillycuddy's Reeks to tackle Carrauntoohil (3406ft). To finish, we will travel to northern Wales and climb Snowden (3560ft). This route will see us arrive back in Derby on Monday 4th July at midday, giving us plenty of time to rest for work at 7am on Tuesday....

To summarise, that's 34,734 feet, which is 60% of Mount Everest, (but who's counting?) to climb and descend the highest mountains throughout the UK and Ireland.

The trip will be completed by Mick McAuley, Keith Duffy and Dominic Geraghty in Keith's Nissan Quashqai. All driving will be completed between the 3 of us.

All funds for travel / expenses / kit will be covered by the 3 participants and anything we raise will go directly to Macmillan!

Macmillan Cancer Support is known for its great work, which we have personally experienced. And as a thank you, we would like to dedicate all money raised to this great charity.
