I had recently been miserably failing in my attempt to come up with a personal challenge that would enable me to raise some funding that would help some of the young and aspiring competitors at Vale Judo Club to travel to judo competitions in the UK and elsewhere.  Vale Judo supplies the minibus but no doubt you are aware that petrol is damn expensive nowadays and many families are struggling financially! 

Miraculously a suitable challenge presented itself when I jumped on the scales this morning and weighed in at a chunky 83.6kg - oops!  So my challenge is to return to my usual fighting weight of 73.6kg - a weight loss of 10kg (or 1 stone and 8 pounds in old money) by my 45th birthday that takes place at the end of August (where did the time go?).  10kg is 11.962% of my body weight for those statisticians amongst you.

As I shall be abstaining from nutrious food items such as beer, chocolate and donuts during this period please give me suitable amounts of encouragement by donating a few quid to help Vale Judo Competitors to travel to comps.  If that is not enough encouragement for you to donate I shall also be subjecting myself to strenuous exercise such as running, rowing etc - oh dear. Once they get wind of this challenge, I have no doubt that the kids at Vale Judo will be checking on my weight loss progress everytime I am down the dojo.

I have set a measley fund raising target of £500 but would like to raise more if I can!  Come on Guys and Gals dig deep and donate -every pound donated will help especially as I can raise extra pennies in gift aid for every £1 donated.
