Story
Eight years ago a very dear friend of ours lost his life to cancer. His wife Carrie recently reminded us that it would have been Howie’s 50th
birthday this year. I felt I needed to do something to mark the occasion and remember our friend. I also want to send a message to Howie’s son Josh, who was very young when his dad died, that his father was a special man, loved and missed by so many of us. He was kind and intelligent and witty and so very brave.
On 21st of June I am walking 50 miles in 24 hours from Newbury, through the North Wessex Downs area to Hungerford, Pewsey, Devizes, Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon and on towards Bath in Memory of Howie. In doing this I am trying to raise money for the Peace Hospice charity nominated by Howie’s wife Carrie, which cared for him and for so many others ongoing.
