In April 2007 one of my best friends lost her sister in a horrific car crash caused by a drunk driver at the age of 23. This left my friend and her family in pieces.

Laila was an assistant teacher for an autistic school in London Mill Hill. 

To honour her life and keep her memory alive, her family and friends decided to set up this charity in her name to help disadvantaged children around the world.

The charity has been raising money to build a school in a deprived area in Iran, zahedan.

I have promised my friend that I would do everything in my power to raise funds and to help them reach their goal. To help them I have decided to do an 18 mile walk from Isleworth (where I live) to the Spot where Laila was sadly taken from us. I will be doing the walk with 3 other trustees from the charity on the 7th September 2013.

For thoes who know me well, will know that I can be quite lazy and am not a regular walker and therefore 18 miles is a very big challenge for me. So please support me by digging deep into your pockets and raising as much as possible to help this charity and make its goal a reality.
