Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In March 2014, a local family lost their 21 month old daughter. No words can express what grief they are going through.  We only have to run 13.1 miles once but they have to live the rest of their lives with the heartache.

Here is their story...

Siân was born with several holes in her heart, however the prognosis, further to surgery, was for continuation of her happy, healthy life.  For reasons we do not yet know, Siân ran into post surgery difficulty whilst in Intensive Care and tragically passed away.

Having been given the news every parent dreads and in the agonising moments prior, my wife and I didn't receive the support and care we desperately required.  We do not want other parents, guardians and siblings to suffer the same experience.

As one of Siân's many legacies, our intention, with your support, is therefore to put in place a support and care provision at The Royal Brompton Hospital for families receiving life changing news.

Any donation you may be able to make will be very gratefully received.

Thank you,

Tanya, Caroline, Belinda, Tracy, Michelle and Natasha xx
