Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page dedicated in memory of my late elder brother Murray who died of leukemia aged just 2.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

When I was 10 months old my elder brother Murray died of Leukemia. He was buried on his third birthday and I never got to know him. So for me this year my choice of presidents charity is very personal. Whilst medicine and cures have developed so much since 1961 I have no doubt that we would all agree that one child losing their life to this horrific illness is one too many. I have been very lucky in my life, my elder brother was not.

My IRRV Presidents Charity therefore for this year will be for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research particularly for children dedicated in memory of my brother who died so painfully young. More information can be found about this vital charity at  http://leukaemialymphomaresearch.org.uk.  I will gratefully accept any payment as well as any ideas or suggestions to help raise additional funds for such an important cause. I hope you will support it throughout the year and I ll make no apology for continually reminding you of my chosen charity during the year at every appropriate opportunity. I hope also to have charity events later this year which I will give additional information nearer the time. Thank you so much for giving.
