During the past year of lockdowns and challenging work the four of us have been walking to keep busy and sane. We had the great idea of not letting all those miles of training go to waste and decided to join an ultra walk!! whats better than walking 100k in a single go and doing it as a team!! 

The team is made up of three frontline working NHS advanced clinical practitioners from Nottingham University Hospitals Trust Emergency department and critical care. The final member of the team is an architect to make sure that all rules are followed and we are walking in a straight line!!

We are aiming to complete this walk across the South Downs in 24 hours raising money for both Oxfam Great Britain and The Gurkha Welfare Trust. As the UK moves towards what we hope is the end of the COVID pandemic in the UK, Oxfam are doing some amazing international work supporting frontline staff working with partners in India and other countries, helping people protect themselves and supply essential medical equipment to hospitals that are struggling to cope under the immense strain.
