Hiya Everyone! Just thought I'd grab your attention and explain why I'd like you to sponsor me for my Rock Solid 10km Obstacle race in March.....?! That'll be your part - My part? I'm in the gym everyday, beach running, obstacle training, military circuits, Haldon forest runs and much more (only Saturday's off!)....I'm working hard and would really appreciate your support in raising money for an amazing cause - please look it up so you understand: http://www.smilewithsiddy.co.uk/ - it's also a celebration of my massive achievements over the last year....less than a year ago I was in a wheelchair! Thanks to everyone for their support and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Smile with Siddy is a charity set up in memory of my friend's son Sidney (Siddy) Cahill. Siddy had a form of childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. My aim is to raise money to fund research into treatment and cure of Neuroblastoma.

Siddy was born on the 13th of September 2011. He was brilliant fun, always smiling, happy and full of life. On November 8th last year aged 14 months Siddy was diagnosed with a form of cancer called Neuroblastoma. He had lots of scans and tests which showed he had a primary tumor in his lower abdomen and secondary tumors on his back and in his neck. The consultants at Bristol Childrens Hospital were confident he would make a full recovery and he started on a treatment plan they said would last about a year. At first everything seemed to be going well but around Christmas time test results showed that the chemotherapy wasn’t working, his tumors were not shrinking as hoped. The consultants switched to a stronger form of chemo but again test results showed that his tumors were actually growing. Eventually the size of the primary tumor in his abdomen meant that his lungs could no longer cope. Siddy passed away on the 28th of January.

He was a total legend and showed courage and determination until the end. Hisparents were with him day and night every minute of the 84 days he spent in hospital.

I would really appreciate your support for this amazing charity. The strength shown by Siddy's parents, family and friends has been incredible.

Thanks again - photo's & video will be posted on my Facebook page :)

Fighting childhood cancer Neuroblastoma in memory of our wonderful son Siddy. This aggressive cancer mainly affects children under the age of four. Most will already have widespread cancer at diagnosis. Too many of these children die. We will raise money for research into treatment and cure.
