As many of you will know, my sister was given the devastating diagnosis this year that she has cervical cancer. Not one to take it lying down Lisa has undergone numerous surgeries and is fighting to become cancer free. This is something nobody should have to go through alone so she has decided it is time to raise as much awareness as possible to encourage more women to attend their smear tests and avoid going through the devastation she has endured. The amount of women not attending smear tests has plummeted to an all time low so it is time we all tried to rectify this and spread the word ‘DONT FEAR YOUR SMEAR’ it could save your life like it has my sisters.

I will be attempting to run a total of 40 miles in 7 hours on the 17th of February 2019 with all funds raised going to jo’s Trust cervical cancer foundation. Lisa, her husband Keiron, her Mam and dad will also be running a lap of the course in support of this worthwhile cause.
