Friday the 22nd July, the Tour de France left the Alpine town of Albertville for 146km of racing. Chris Froome had the Yellow Jersey and a safe ride would see him take the Jersey to Paris. Ahead was the HC
climb of Montee Bisanne, never climbed on a tour before. 1047 meters over 12.4km at 8.2% gradient from Villard sur Doron to the summit then downhill to the final climb from Vervex to Le Bettex. 783 meters over 9.8km at 8% gradient to the finish line in Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc - Total distance 60km.
