Story
Andy Carr was a truly dedicated husband, loving father and one of the most genuine people I have had the privilege of knowing. The passion he had for sport and his family was admired by everyone who knew him and constantly led by example in everything he did.
I had the pleasure of knowing Andy for about 38 years and played Rugby with him for a number of those at Redditch RFC. Here, Andy represented the club at junior and senior levels, as well as holding the position of Club Captain and coaching youth sides.
Sadly he was taken from us in July 2013, aged of 54, having lost a long battle against Cancer. During the period of his illness Andy, his wife Kay and Son’s Harry and George received endless help and support from the Primrose Hospice Centre of Care. This help and assistance has continued since Andy’s passing and is still helping the family come to terms with this tragic loss.
During the first week of August, I along with six others will be walking Hadrian’s Wall in Andy’s memory. With this, I hope to raise money for the Primrose Hospice, at Kay’s request, so they can continue to support families suffering similar circumstances.
I hope that you can find your way to support me in raising money for this worthwhile cause.
Many thanks in anticipation
