Story

Hello everyone,

For those who don’t know our story, on 25th March 2013 our son Jude was born with a very rare vascular tumour called Kaposiform Hemangioendothelioma with Kasabach Merritt Syndrome. At 12 hours old he was transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where he was cared for by some of the most specialised and talented doctors and nurses in the UK. Jude fought for 8 days long days but sadly his little body couldnt take no more and he gained his angel wings on 2nd April 2013. He left our hearts broken and our world was shattered.

Following on from his passing, we needed to do something positive in his memory, so that summer of 2013 we raised over £20k through fundraising events planned and organised by ourselves, our family, our friends and people who we didn’t even know. So many people contributed to our cause. All the money we raised went into sponsoring a room in the new hospital. Although we ended up sponsoring 2 rooms because we raised so much.

This March, marks Jude’s 10th birthday, and we wanted to do something special in his honour.

Jace and Elsa, (Jude’s younger brother and sister) along with their cousins and other family members will be walking up Moel Famau in a bid to raise some money Alder Heys Neonatal Appeal, who are urgently trying to raise £25k to buy a specialised incubator for seriously ill babies!

We hope to raise some money to contribute to the Alder Hey Childrens Charity and would be very grateful however big or small your donation may be.

Thank you all for your continued support and helping keep our boys memory alive.

All our Love,

Nicola Adam Jace, Elsa, Gene and all our family xxx
