Story
On 18th June 2016, following a very short illness, we lost my beautiful Nik Ekholm. He was 43. He brought joy and love into my life, and he was admired on a personal and professional level by friends and colleagues all over the world. His loss has been a devastating blow.
The combination of ultra-professionalism and compassionate dignity shown to Nik and to all of us by the front line NHS staff at Charing Cross Hospital was profoundly moving. We felt it was appropriate to ask for donations in Nik's memory to the Intensive Care Unit.
