Story

I am counting down the days to March 12 when I will get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to race up the hill at Cheltenham having been chosen to take part in the charity race during the festival.

My strongest motivation is rooted in my life-long friendship with injured jockey John Thomas McNamara. The charity race will take place almost 2 years to the day  that John Thomas had his terrible accident at Cheltenham so riding in the race will be particularly poignant for me. Through participating in this race I feel I can contribute in a meaningful way to the invaluable work of the Injured Jockeys Fund as they facilitate the treatment, recovery and enhance the quality of life of our injured jockeys.

As I cycle to Michael Hourigan's yard each morning, on a bike with no saddle......to ride 2 lots...... I keep telling myself "this will all be worth it on the day!!! So please please help to make it all worthwhile and support this worthy cause.
