Story
We didn't know how quickly someone could be drained of life by aggressive lymphoma until it happened to Pat.
On Saturday 24th May, she and Brian were preparing to go on holiday. After complaining of feeling unwell, Pat was taken into hospital on Sunday 25th. After enduring numerous tests and unsuccessful treatments, by Friday 13th June she had drifted into unconsciousness and on Wednesday 18th June 2014 she passed away peacefully in hospital.
It's an understatement to say that Pat was a much loved wife, sister, stepmother, aunt and friend. She was a person who genuinely dedicated her life to the service of others. Pat was a committed member of Totley Rise Methodist Church, an enthusiastic teacher, a long-serving brown owl, a loyal family member and wonderful friend.
Pat was a lady who lived life to the full. She enjoyed her food (especially puddings!) and was locally famed for her superb baking. She loved to sing and to dance and enjoyed many holidays, especially cruises, with husband Brian.
Pat's death has left a huge void in the lives of the many people who loved her. We would ask you to make a donation, however large or small, to help fund research into the prevention and treatment of this dreadful disease.
