Story

Trained super hard tonight that cold air bit hard too! help keep me going by donating #justgiving

So the challenge has been set, my place has been confirmed and my training has begun and in just 4 weeks I will start my first competative half marathon, that's right My First! I have been running for a number of years mainly taking to the fells of the Peak District and also doing some of the local 10km road races. So when I was asked if I would like to do this naturally I jumped at the chance to help raise money for such a great cause by doing something that I love doing. Then I sat down and thought about what I was about to take on and that's when I realised "I've got 4 weeks to raise £300 how am I going to do that?" and "I've got 4 weeks to get in shape to run a half marathon and I've only run that distance a few times when training, how am I going to do this?" Well these things aren't going to stop me succeeding and achieving my goal. I am a very competative person so that along with training everyday should get me through the race itself and hopefully in a respectable time. Now for the raising £300? well thats where all of you come in, I am going to dedicate the next 4 weeks to training hard whatever the weather to race at the Silverstone Half Marathon so please help to keep me motivated to train hard and race harder by sponsoring as much as you can afford to raise funds for my charity Newlife!

If you want to keep an eye on my progress over the coming weeks and make sure that I am keeping my end of the bargain then please follow me on Twitter @padster_tcb I will also update my progress as often as possible in my blog on here.
