Story
As many of you know, my father sadly passed away last year after fighting for 18 months with dementia, an illness caused by diseases of the brain and one that can affect anyone. Unlike some other diseases, dementia is terminal and there is no cure.
My brother and myself are planning on cycling 172 miles over 3 days in July; travelling from Workington, Cumbria, across the lake district and finishing in Whitby, Yorkshire. The challenge is organised by the Alzheimer's Societyhttp://alzheimers.org.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=1204 )
Your donations will really make a difference to help fund research into this terminal disease of the brain, and support not only those suffering against this life-changing illness, but also their loved ones who have to witness their deterioration and care for them.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now!!!
