I shall be participating again this year with my colleagues in Alliance Medical, and my family in this years Mac Ride 2015. This is our collective opportunity to give to a worthy charity whilst in the knowledge that someone is doing something on your behalf. My Son-in Law Tim and I shall be cycling a modest 25 miles around the Warwickshire country side on this years Macmillan "Mac Ride 2015" event. We did the ride last year with my employers Team "Alliance Medical Ltd" which raised sponsorship over £8000 on the day. The bike ride itself attracted cyclists nationally. (Google Macmillan Mac Ride 2015, and Alliance Medical Ltd for more details). "The Alliance Medical Team" rides again this year, and again my family and I will be joining them.

Last year I completed the ride on a 30 year old bike I bought for £35 advertised in the Herald Express. I fitted new tyres, brakes, gears, saddle and pedals to ensure I had a fighting chance of training and completing the ride. The bike was named "the old pirate special" as it bore no resemblance to the original bicycle. I raised £100 from your generosity, which exceeded my £1 per mile expectancy. After the ride my bike went to a local charity in Paignton offering “a bike to borrow scheme” for visitors to . This year I shall be on my new MTB 29er.
