I chose Macmillan Cancer Support as my Captains Charity for several reasons.
They were very helpful to my family when my father passed away 7 years ago and they do a great job at what is a very difficult time for the family involved. Also I suspect everybody knows someone who has been touched by cancer, so it is a charity that is relevant to everyone, and of course, they have a local support centre here in Peterborough.

I am happy to support Ian in raising money for Macmillan. In 2013 when my husband Nick was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer their Horrell Centre provided therapies and holistic treatments for Nick. Any help towards providing funds to allow more patients access to this type of support is invaluable to them and their families.
