In October this year I lost my Mum, she had suffered for many years with Lymphoedema a  poorly understood condition that I suspect ultimately contributed to her death. Having fought recurrent infections for most of the past year she finally succumbed to a C-diff infection.  

A brave  lady always stoical about her problems she will be missed by myself and her friends and family.   

Assumptions are often made looking at people with the condition and the correct care requirements are often poorly understood, it can have a number of causes either Primary as my Mum's or secondary to injury or cancer treatment. Full causes are best explained  here:

This year instead of sending christmas cards I am going to make a donation in memory of Mum, Social media allows us to pass on our wishes to most of our friends and family and hopefully can replace the contact that a card used to provide.  

If anyone would like to join me in remembering my Mum or just supporting a good cause in a similar way it would be greatly appreciated.
