Story

One day an idea was conceived...  Why not cycle from London to Newcastle, over three days, and plan it so we arrive in time to do the Great North Run on the fourth day..

Welcome to the Race Against Tyne..

A group of 50 cyclists/runners/crazy fools who are teaming together to ride 300 miles over three days London > Peterborough > York > Newcastle, then on day four (8th September 2019) they will run/walk/hobble/crawl the biggest Half Marathon in the UK - 13.1 miles - The Simply Health Great North Run.

For me, cycling 100 miles in one day is a new challenge, and I have never been a runner so that's a first, so three back to back 100 mile rides and a 13.1 mile run is a BIG challenge.  So I need your support to help motivate me.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
