40 TeamQEH staff members are taking part in a skydive to raise valuable funds to go towards the building of a Maternity Bereavement Suite.

The skydive has been rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and is taking place on Wednesday 21st April 2021, aiming to raise valuable funds to help the hospital reach its £185,000 overall target.

The idea of the Bereavement Suite is to provide a dedicated and welcoming place for families from our community who sadly lose their babies either during, or shortly after birth, and give them the opportunity to create precious memories.

Having a purpose built facility will make such a positive difference to the experience of our patients who are going through their most difficult time after their loss. This development will help those families to spend time with their babies in a more homely environment away from the maternity suite.

Money received from this fundraising page will go to the Maternity Bereavement Suite after costs of the skydive have been deducted.
