I have never had any desire to jump out of a plane - in fact the prospect scares me rigid.  But, Myeloma UK is a charity I really want to support.  It didn't exist in 1984 when my Mum died from myeloma - a cancer of the bone marrow that is still incurable.  As a family we had to live through her illness with little medical knowledge, treatment or support.

Last year my friend Sarah's husband Mark died from the same cancer.  Although the outcome was tragically the same as my Mum's I was delighted to see how much support and information was on offer - and still is for Sarah.

Myeloma is a little known cancer, but it's effects are devastating, so facing my fears seems the least I can do to support such a worthwhile cause.  Please sponsor me !
