There’s a long tradition of charity and fundraising in Star Wars fandom demonstrating the love, generosity and goodness this community is capable of. It’s a tradition that we want to become a part of, reaching for the stars to bring some light into lives that need it most, so Raising a Rebel is launching our inaugural fundraiser.

The charity

Raising for Rebels is the name of our ongoing charity efforts, and to kick things off we’re launching our inaugural fundraiser in aid of Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. This important charity enables families who have a child with a life-threatening illness to make the most of their time together. It’s a cause we absolutely believe in, so over the last few months we’ve been in touch with their team to get this fundraiser off the ground.

The target

Obviously, this is our first time, so we’re starting small and setting a £1,000 target. Although I know plenty people in the Star Wars community and beyond will donate out of the goodness of their hearts, we also wanted to make it fun for fans. So we’ve put together a hamper of Star Wars goodies (see below for specifics). To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is make a donation, big or small (T&Cs below).

Not everyone can afford to donate, and we completely understand that, but if you can share the link on social media using #RaisingforRebels it could really help some sick kids who deserve light, love and happiness in their lives.

Although the giveaway itself has a closing date, we'll be keeping the fundraiser open until we reach our target.

The prize

The prize includes: 1 x Princess Leia Mighty Muggs; 1 x Poe Dameron Pop Vinyl (no. 192); 1 x carded Sergeant Jyn Erso (Jedha) figure; 1 x LEGO Naboo Starfighter Microfighter; 1 x Mystery Minis Bobble-Head; 1 x Black Series Director Krennic and Where's the Wookiee 2.
