Story
On 1st February I am voluntarily putting myself through hell, aka Tough Guy.
Tough Guy is a 12km run incorporating over 180 obstacles. The obstacles include fire, electric fences, barbed wire, muddy lakes and high climby ropey things that look terrifying, and I have had to sign a death warrant. My heart rate has increased massively just writing this.
I'm not doing Tough Guy for fun, I'm not that crazy. I'm doing it to raise money for DrugFAM, a charity that is very close to my heart. It was set up by my old RS teacher, Elizabeth Burton-Phillips, following the loss of her son to a heroin addiction. DrugFAM is a fantastic charity that helps the families of those addicted to drugs and alcohol, through counselling, support sessions and education. If you would like to know more about DrugFAM, please visit www.drugfam.co.uk, where you can read Elizabeth's story.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, and all money raised will go directly to the charity as my entry fee has been paid already.
Thank you!
