Run Rianna, Run!

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After 5 years of trying (and failing) to get a place in the London Marathon I FINALLY have my place. And there was only 1 charity I wanted to run for....
As many of you know, I suffered with Anorexia and Bullimia in my past and BEAT was there to help me, inform me and make me feel like there was a way out when I was struggling. The charity is worth its weight in gold and knowing I am running all that way (26.2 Miles btw #prayforRiRi) to help these guys keep supporting other people like myself is the least I can do.
There is still such a stigma around eating disorders and many people don’t understand how much an eating disorder can drain you. It takes not only your health, but your happiness, your hope...and as the mental illness with the highest mortality rate, it also takes lives. I want people to be able to talk openly about eating disorders and for people to not feel alone and the work that BEAT do enable this to happen.
I used to exercise as punishment for eating...now I’m running a marathon so others don’t have to put themselves through what I and so many others go through daily and if they do fall down, BEAT can be there to help them up.
We are worth more than our eating disorders. We are worth more than the negative thoughts. More than our insecurities. Act up, speak up and don’t feel ashamed.
If you can donate please do, i’ll be forever greatful, and if you can’t right now please share my page to spread the word! Me running in it’s self is news worthy!
All the love,
RiRi ❤️
